So sister Denise is turning 40 and I am trying to surprise her by having her best friend show up at the airport.  Well, I do not do well with secrets or planning trips, so that surprise went to the wayside.  However, we did have an ace up our sleeve that went by the name of Larry Harasim.  Now, if you didn't know, Larry hated flying and usually flat refused to leave the ground.  But his sister's 40th was a big deal so he cowboyed up and made it to Ft. Lauderdale.  Man, you should have seen the face on Denise when she saw her brother riding shotgun in the car picking us up.  She said, "Larry??? It can't be!  It is Larry!!!"  and they had a great hug.  

We hung out on the beach for almost a week.  Laughing, dancing, drinking, and singing.  Great food and great conversation with rousing choruses of Neil Diamond songs under starry nights.  What fun we had...
